Solar Scream was found in 2000. Our first EP, Ground Level (self-released in 2004) presented five songs and an authorized Depeche Mode cover. We received numerous positive reviews that strengthened us to carry on with our vision. “Slightly progressive, atmospheric modern metal” – the best definition of the band's style so far has also been put together from these articles. Several concerts followed, a new bass player was found.
Divider, our first full-length album of 2007 contains 11 songs in 52 minutes. It was released by Edge Records a division of the Hammer World group, Hungary. The new tunes are still experimental to some extent, but also more straightforward with a stronger vocal performance, therefore they seem to work out better on stage.
We also like to include covers in our sets of 50-80 minutes. Our most memorable shows were at Sziget Festival 2004, the Rock Marathon in Senta (YU) 2006, the Hungarian finals of the international talent show Metal Champ in 2007. This year will see us supporting The Ocean (D) and Lake Of Tears (SWE) in Budapest.
